ner.

I honestly don't know where it came from.

Ner.

I must have picked it up somewhere.

Ner.

It's just a meaningless word, I can't explain it. But it fills in the blanks. Seals the gaps. Takes up space.
I tried pinning down a definition the other day...
Did it come from a truncation, a castration even, of "nerd". Perhaps. It sounds more like a sound from a mentally ill or retarded person when spoken aloud. Don't ask me.

But I stumbled across the stupidest coincidence today.
Ner.
Despite spelling differences, I could very well be the world's first "ner-osurgeon". Or maybe I'm just "ner-otic".
Or maybe just a ner-d.

go figure. a geek's vehement denial of being a nerd.

how does one pronouce "vehement" anyway? I can never seem to get it right, let alone use it properly in a sentence.
damn silent h's. except when they're not silent and you think they should be.
